Diana Wright, founder and president of The Right Solutions (TRS), was named Northwest Arkansas’ Best Nurse for 2015. Wright lives in Siloam Springs, Ark., and has been a nurse for 34 years. In 1996, she established The Right Solutions, a healthcare staffing company. The company provides more than 300 healthcare travelers to hospitals and clinics throughout the nation.
“It’s a huge honor to be recognized for my life’s work, and to be able to represent all the other nurses in comforting and restoring patients’ lives,” Wright said. “I just see myself doing patient care with other people’s hands. Ultimately, at the end of the day what we’ve got to provide is good patient care.”
Nearly 30 years ago, while in a meeting about a future nursing shortage, she was inspired to capture the need. She began a journey that led her to establish The Right Solutions in Tontitown, Ark. She earned a Master of Business Administration, worked as a hospital administrator and learned how to credential. She started her company once she felt she had enough education and experience.
“I had a career path that I was achieving,” Wright said. “My career path went into the development of this company.”
After establishing the company, Wright fought to overcome ovarian cancer. When she was diagnosed, she was given little hope, but she developed her own anti-cancer plan. She traveled to Austria for treatment at the suggestion of TRS senior recruiter Jan Steele, who nominated Wright for the Best Nurse award. Wright survived cancer after a long battle, and recently started a ministry to help others treat their illnesses.
A story about Wright’s passion for nursing, successful fight against cancer and the honor of being named Northwest Arkansas’ Best Nurse was published April 25 in You at Your Best, a healthcare publication of the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
