The “Made in Russia” national display organized with the support of the Russian Export Center (REC), was for the first time featured at JCK Las Vegas Show, the leading international jewelry exhibition that took place on June 1-4 in Mandalay Bay Convention Centre. JCK Las Vegas is one of the best-known international specialized exhibitions of jewellery, owing to which the major players in this market gravitate to Las Vegas in the early summer, in order to present their products. An important feature of this year’s jewelry exhibit was the participation of 15 Russian companies in an integrated format of a single display. The display itself was placed at the heart of the JCK Vegas and had the form of a large pavilion, with all the diversity of the Russian jewelry market, from raw materials to the elements of interior design and jewelry, represented therein.
The exhibition was attended by 15 Russian enterprises, among them Karavaiev jewelry factory, “Gallery Of The Unique” Company, “New Art” (Tarutin), Bogarta, KU&KU, “Golden Traditions”,” Rainbow”, Leo Totti, Art Jeweller, “Sever Almaz Technologies”. Also, there were exhibited the works by the designer Galina Konyaeva, while the Diamond Plaza pavillion was displaying the Smolensk “Crystal” and “Diamond 24”.
A large-scale business program was staged in the framework of the exhibition. Thus, the workshops on topical issues of today’s jewelry industry and contests in jewelry art were conducted. Within the framework of the exhibition, the campaign for promotion of the Russian jewelry brands onto the largest world market was carried out. The interest in Russian companies was significant, as dozens of meetings and negotiations had taken place.
To date, the Russian articles of design are widely known worldwide. For instance, in recent years the Russian brands had won quite a sizeable number of iconic awards at the major jewellery competitions. According to the participants of the exhibition, the leaders in jewelry manufacturing, professional jewelers and designers, and the suppliers of technological equipment all come to Las Vegas. The presence of Russian companies at the prestigious exhibition areas is highly important, since they will retain these displays in the future. At the Russian exposition, the participants of the event were able to see the best exemplars of jewelry made by the experts from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kostroma, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, and other cities.
In the days of the JCK Las Vegas Show, meetings were held with the heads of the IEG, Bihjorka, Inhorgenta, and several other leading exhibitions that resulted in the agreements on inclision of the Russian expositions in their events.
