For more than two years, highly skilled artists collaborated to produce “Still in the Game”, an inspiring and thought-provoking music video with the heart and soul of Country Rock and Blues. This new CD is about a musician told it was time to give up playing and singing music but he knew there were still many years of enjoyment ahead and that he was “still in the game”.
The primary artists involved in the making of “Still in the Game” include Scotty Haze, Scott Van Ordan, and the entire Scotty Haze Band. The music video was initially posted on iTunes and YouTube November 27, 2014 to rave reviews.
All of the musicians, videographers, engineers, and producers involved in the making of the music video hail from the beautiful Ogden Utah area with the video shot in Ol’ O Town.
Scotty Haze has been a prominent part of the Utah music scene since the 1970s. For a long time, he joined other musicians on stage in Northern Utah but a few years ago, he made the decision to get serious about his own music.
After five years of hard work and dedication, Scotty Haze released his debut CD “My Life’s Cross Roads”. After its release in 2010 at Perry’s Egyptian Theater and local nightclub after parties, Scotty was encouraged to continue with his professional music career.
Pulling together a group of like-minded and incredibly talented artists with 25 plus years of experience each, The Scotty Haze Band was formed. “Still in the Game” is Scotty’s third CD and as with the other two will be widely received by existing and new fans alike.
The “Still in the Game” CD is scheduled for release in the spring of 2015, reaching fans in 14 countries and 46 states who appreciate the talent of The Scotty Haze Band. Not only is this a toe-tapping and fun-loving song, this CD sends a clear message to never give up on a passion.
Lending talent to the “Still in the Game” CD is Scott Van Ordan, producer, composer, and musician, along with members of The Scotty Haze Band to include Scotty Haze on acoustic guitar and vocals, John Barker on drums, Derrek Velasquez who plays the harmonica, Ryan Hawthorn on guitar, and Randal Palmer, base and guitar player.
