LIGHTNING RELEASES (8/26/2014) – Renowned Philadelphia Artist, Dressler Smith, will be the keynote luncheon speaker for the Saturday, October 18th edutainment affair, Life in the Arts 2014 at the Union League of Philadelphia. Ms. Smith will share with luncheon attendees about her life and career in art and a book launch. Special performances are, also, scheduled with Imagine…the Dance Theater of Camden; Michael D. Hogue, Cathedral Basilica musician; and area student art finalists.
Event organizer, Dr. Pamela Ellis, president of Books Motivate Foundation, cites the tremendous support of Philadelphia for students and creative expressions, which connect families and businesses in America and the international community, “We encourage the opportunity to view and purchase highlighted professional and student artwork as well as engagement with civic and business leaders.” The art exhibition, silent auction, and luncheon connects families, civic, and corporate organizations with art students and professional artists. From 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, there will be a silent auction art exhibition, followed by the luncheon from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Students may submit art entries up until September 15th. A panel of prestigious art professionals will adjudicate the art exhibition competition.
